4-minute quiz

What's your Gut Health Score?

Twelve questions on the biggest evidence-backed gut levers — stool, symptoms, fiber, fermented foods, UPF share, stress, sleep, antibiotic exposure. We compute a 0–100 score + your top three moves. Red flags trigger a "talk to your doctor" prompt.

Step 1 of 6

What does a typical bowel movement look like?

Stool form (Bristol scale)
Bowel movements per week (typical)

What the score measures

Stool form + frequency (22 pts) gets the highest weight — Bristol-scale stool is the most-cited functional gut marker in primary care. Symptom burden (18 pts) and fiber intake (15 pts) round out the top three buckets. Fermented foods, UPF share, stress, sleep, antibiotic exposure, and hydration cover the remaining 45 pts.

What it isn't

Not a clinical diagnosis. Persistent severe symptoms, blood in stool, unintended weight loss, or family history of IBD warrant clinical workup regardless of score.
