How we make money
Last updated: May 2026
HealthNation exists to give you straight answers about health products and habits. To do that without charging a subscription, we earn money in four ways. All four are disclosed, and none influence editorial scoring.
1. Affiliate commissions
When you buy a product through a link on our site, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. See our affiliate disclosure.
2. Newsletter sponsorships
Health brands occasionally sponsor a placement in our weekly newsletter. Sponsored placements are clearly labelled and never affect editorial coverage of the brand.
3. Lead-gen partnerships
For quizzes like our GLP-1 readiness quiz, qualified users can opt in to be connected with a vetted telehealth provider. We earn a fee when an opt-in becomes a customer. We only route to providers using FDA-approved drug pathways — never to compounding-pharmacy-only operations.
4. Display advertising
Ad units on the site are served through our own PGAM ad stack and standard programmatic SSPs. They are clearly separated from editorial content and labelled.
What we don't do
- No paid product placement disguised as editorial.
- No advertiser veto on negative reviews or comparison pieces.
- No promotion of compounded GLP-1s. We route only to partners with FDA-approved drug pathways.
- No Medicare lead-gen until we have full CMS TPMO compliance in place.
